Terms of Service
Effective November 1, 2026 · Last updated October 18, 2026
Rizora.io LLC
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Rizora.io LLC ("Rizora," "we," "us") and govern your use of rizora.io, the Rizora mobile apps, and related services (the "Services").
Please read section 18 carefully. It requires most disputes to be resolved through individual arbitration rather than in court, waives class actions and jury trials, and explains how to opt out.
By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines. If you use Rizora on behalf of a school, program, club, or business, our Organization and Professional Terms also apply. Purchases are covered by our Billing and Refund Policy.
1. What Rizora is
Rizora is a closed, verified platform for developing and recruiting athletes. It has two sides that share one athlete record:
- Develop helps athletes, families, coaches, programs, and trainers build that record: workouts, verified measurables, nutrition, team tools, and an AI assistant.
- Recruit lets athletes put that record to work: recruiting profiles for high school athletes, anonymous market-testing for current college athletes, evaluations, the Readiness Score, and matching with college programs.
Rizora is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, CCCAA, any state high school association, or any college or university.
2. Who can use Rizora
Age. You must be at least 13 to create an account. No one under 13 may create an account or sign in. A parent or guardian may manage a limited profile for a child under 13 as described in our Children's Privacy Notice.
Minors. If you are under the age of majority in your home state (a "minor"), you may create an athlete account, but some features stay locked until a parent or legal guardian joins Rizora and gives consent, including measurables, media uploads, sharing with programs, and purchases. Your parent or guardian must also agree to these Terms on your behalf. If you are a minor, please review these Terms with your parent or guardian.
Parents and guardians. By linking to an athlete or approving anything for them, you confirm that you are 18 or older and the athlete's parent or legal guardian, that you agree to these Terms for yourself and for the athlete, and that you are responsible for the athlete's use of the Services while they are a minor.
Verified accounts. High school staff, college program staff, trainers, and evaluators must pass Rizora's verification before they can access athletes. We may refuse, suspend, or revoke verification at our discretion.
Where. The Services are intended for use in the United States.
3. Your account
- Sign-in. Rizora uses one-time codes sent to your email instead of passwords. Keep access to your email account secure, because anyone who controls it can sign in to Rizora.
- One person per account. Don't share your account or sign in as someone else. A parent may act for their minor athlete only through the parent's own account and the controls Rizora provides.
- Accurate information. Give us accurate information and keep it current. This matters most for date of birth, home state, school, graduation year, and anything shown to programs.
- Account types. Each account type (athlete, parent or guardian, high school staff, youth program staff, college program staff, trainer, evaluator) is its own environment. If you hold more than one, you choose which workspace to use.
- Re-verification. College athletes must keep a verified college email and re-verify periodically. Staff and trainers must keep their verification current. If verification lapses, the related access pauses until it is renewed.
- Tell us about unauthorized use right away at security@rizora.io.
4. How sharing works
Rizora is closed. There are no public profiles. You decide who sees your information through grants you can change at any time:
- Roster visibility lets a high school or youth program see a rostered athlete.
- Trainer grants let a trainer see an athlete's workouts and Develop measurables and submit measurements for the athlete to confirm.
- Program disclosure lets a specific college program see a summary or full recruiting profile.
- Blocks keep specific programs or entire conferences from seeing you at all.
For minors, the parent or guardian controls these grants. When an athlete reaches the age of majority, the athlete takes control of their account and their grants. A parent or guardian who already has access keeps that access until the adult athlete revokes it.
Leaving a team. When you leave a team, or your grant to it ends, the team loses access to your information going forward. You keep your account, your development history, and your own content. Materials the team created, such as practice plans and playbooks, stay with the team, and your access to them ends.
College athletes. If you are currently enrolled at a college, your recruiting profile is anonymous to programs until you unlock it for a specific program. Your current program is always blocked. Rizora does not allow messaging between college programs and currently enrolled college athletes. You are responsible for following the transfer and eligibility rules that apply to you.
5. Your content
You own your content. "Your content" means what you upload or create on Rizora, such as clips, photos, workouts, notes, practice plans, playbooks, and messages.
The license you give us. You give Rizora a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, display, and transmit your content, and to make adaptations such as transcoding, watermarking, metadata removal, and anonymization, only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Services and to show your content to the people you choose. This license ends when your content is deleted from the Services, except for copies that others have legitimately received through features you used (for example, a message you sent) and copies kept as described in our Data Retention Policy.
No marketing use without permission. We will not use an athlete's name, image, likeness, or clips in Rizora advertising or marketing without separate, explicit written permission, which must come from a parent or guardian for a minor.
Your promises. You confirm that you have the rights to the content you upload, that it doesn't violate anyone else's rights or privacy, and that your measurables and athletic information are truthful.
Other people in your content. Video and photos often show other athletes, many of them minors. Upload only content you're entitled to share, such as your own film or film your team has made available to you, and use it only in the ways Rizora allows. If you upload content that focuses on someone other than yourself or your own child, you confirm that you have their permission, and their parent's permission if they're a minor. If a parent or athlete asks us to remove content about them, we may do so.
Keep your own copies. Rizora is not a backup service. You can download your information at any time, and we recommend keeping copies of film you care about.
Feedback. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without obligation to you.
6. Measurables, evaluations, and scores
- Labels matter. Every measurable shows how it was captured: by the app, by a verified trainer with listed equipment, by a high school coach, or self-reported. Don't misrepresent how a number was captured.
- Trainer measurements are added as pending and count as verified only after the athlete confirms them. Voided or disputed numbers never count as verified.
- Evaluations and the Readiness Score reflect the good-faith, partly subjective judgment of evaluators applied to a structured rubric. A Readiness Score appears only after a minimum number of independent evaluations. We don't guarantee any particular score, and others may disagree with one.
- Payment never changes results. What you pay Rizora never affects any score, evaluation, match, or search ranking.
- We may correct or remove measurables, evaluations, or scores that we reasonably believe are inaccurate, manipulated, or in violation of these Terms.
7. No guarantee of recruiting outcomes
Rizora helps athletes develop and get seen. We do not guarantee that any program will view a profile, contact an athlete, offer a roster spot, scholarship, or admission, or that any athlete will improve or reach any level. Recruiting, admission, roster, scholarship, and name-image-likeness decisions belong to the schools, programs, and athletes involved.
8. Your responsibility for athletic rules
Athletes, families, coaches, and programs are each responsible for following the rules that apply to them, including NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, CCCAA, conference, state high school association, and state law rules on recruiting contact, transfers, eligibility, and name, image, and likeness. Rizora's features are not legal or compliance advice, and using a Rizora feature does not mean an activity is permitted under those rules.
9. Health, training, and nutrition
Rizora provides general training, conditioning, and nutrition information. It is not medical advice, and Rizora is not a healthcare provider. Rizora does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition.
- Talk to a physician before starting a new training or nutrition program, especially if you have a medical condition, an injury, or allergies, or take medication.
- Form comes before load. Minors should do resistance training under qualified supervision.
- Returning from an injury requires medical clearance. If an athlete reports a serious or repeated injury, Rizora pauses their training plan until a qualified person reviews it.
- Physical training carries a risk of injury. You choose whether and how to follow any workout, and you assume that risk to the extent the law allows.
If someone is in danger or having a medical emergency, call 911. If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).
10. The AI assistant
Rizora's AI assistant and AI features can answer questions, make recommendations, draft plans, and propose changes.
- AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. Check it, especially for anything involving health, injuries, nutrition, or eligibility.
- The assistant proposes changes and saves nothing until you confirm. You are responsible for the changes you confirm.
- The assistant cannot change consent, sharing grants, verification, payments, or scores.
- Don't use the assistant to try to get around these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or another user's privacy.
11. Purchases
Prices, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are explained in our Billing and Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms. In short:
- Payments are processed by Stripe. You authorize Rizora and Stripe to charge your payment method for what you buy, including automatic renewals of subscriptions until you cancel.
- For minors, a parent or guardian approves and pays for every purchase.
- High school recruit profiles have no contract and can be canceled at any time. A 7-day full refund applies to every purchase, including each yearly renewal.
- Prices can change. We'll tell you before a price change affects a renewal.
12. Community Guidelines
You must follow our Community Guidelines, which protect athletes, especially minors. Among other things, you may not harass anyone, contact minors outside the protections Rizora provides, try to identify anonymous athletes, falsify measurables, scrape, frame, or mirror the Services, or misuse anyone's information. Sharing intimate images of anyone without consent is prohibited, and the Community Guidelines explain how to request their removal.
12A. Pilot and early-access features
Some features may be labeled pilot, beta, early access, or invite-only, including the college program pilot that begins November 1, 2026. Pilot features may change, be limited to invited users, or end at any time, and they are provided as-is without any service commitment. If a pilot feature becomes a paid feature, we'll tell you before you're charged and you can choose not to continue.
12B. Third-party services
Rizora relies on other companies for some features, such as Stripe for payments and checkout, Apple and Google for app distribution and notifications, and email and text-message providers. Your use of their pages and services (for example, Stripe's checkout and billing portal) is also subject to their terms and privacy policies. We aren't responsible for third-party websites you reach through links on Rizora.
13. Our intellectual property
Rizora, the Rizora name and logo, and the Services (including software, design, scoring methods, and content we create) belong to Rizora or its licensors. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services as these Terms allow. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or resell the Services, or use any part of them, including athlete data, to train AI models or build a competing product.
14. Copyright complaints
We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Send notices to our designated agent:
Copyright Agent, Rizora.io LLC 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801 legal@rizora.io
Your notice must include: (1) identification of the copyrighted work; (2) identification of the material you claim infringes and where it appears on the Services; (3) your contact information; (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law; (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and (6) your physical or electronic signature.
If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice to the same address with the information the DMCA requires. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
15. Mobile apps
If you use our iOS app, Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app or its support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the app must also comply with the App Store terms. The same applies to Google and Google Play for our Android app. Apps may update automatically, and updates may change features.
16. Suspension and termination
- You can stop at any time by deleting your account in settings or emailing legal@rizora.io. Canceling a subscription is covered in the Billing and Refund Policy.
- We may suspend or end your access, remove content, revoke verification, or limit features if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms or the Community Guidelines, created risk for other users (especially minors), or if the law requires it. When appropriate and safe, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to respond. We act right away when a child's safety may be at risk.
- We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue a paid service you've prepaid for, we'll give you a prorated refund.
- Sections that by their nature should survive (including 5, 13, 17, 18, and 19) survive termination.
17. Disclaimers and limits on liability
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, Rizora disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don't promise the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for the content or conduct of other users, including programs, coaches, trainers, and evaluators, online or off.
Limit on damages. To the fullest extent the law allows, Rizora will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, or lost data. Rizora's total liability for any claim related to the Services is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid Rizora in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) $100.
Some states don't allow these exclusions or limits, so some may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Indemnity. If you are an adult, you agree to indemnify Rizora against third-party claims arising from your content, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of these Terms or the law. This does not apply to claims caused by Rizora's own wrongdoing.
18. Resolving disputes
Talk to us first. Before filing any claim, send a written notice describing your issue and the outcome you want to legal@rizora.io. We'll try in good faith to resolve it within 60 days, and deadlines are paused while we do.
Binding individual arbitration. If we can't resolve it, you and Rizora agree to resolve any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. The arbitration may take place by video or in the county where you live. Rizora will pay arbitration filing and administrative fees beyond what you would pay to file in court. The arbitrator may award any individual relief a court could award. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section.
Exceptions. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either of us may seek a court order to stop infringement of intellectual property or misuse of the Services.
No class actions or jury trials. Disputes are resolved individually. Neither of us may bring or join a class, collective, or representative action, and both of us waive a jury trial.
Opt out. You can opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms by emailing legal@rizora.io with your name and a clear statement that you are opting out of arbitration. Opting out doesn't affect anything else in these Terms.
Time limit. To the extent the law allows, claims must be brought within one year after they arise.
If this section is unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim proceeds in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and both of us consent to their jurisdiction.
19. General terms
- Governing law. Wyoming law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where federal law applies.
- Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms. We'll post the new version with an updated date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect, unless a change is required sooner by law or for safety. Changes won't apply retroactively, and changes to section 18 won't apply to disputes we already know about.
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the policies they link to are the entire agreement between you and Rizora about the Services.
- Severability and waiver. If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver.
- Assignment. You may not transfer these Terms. We may transfer them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Notices. We send notices to your account email or in the app, and you agree these satisfy any requirement for written notice.
- No third-party beneficiaries, except as stated in section 15.
- Legal notices to Rizora. Support requests don't count as legal notice. Formal legal notices and service of process must be sent by email to legal@rizora.io and in writing to Rizora.io LLC, Attn: Legal, 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801.
- Relationship. You and Rizora are independent parties; these Terms don't create a partnership, agency, or employment relationship.
- Events outside our control. We're not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as outages of internet or cloud providers, natural disasters, or government action.
- Export and sanctions. You may not use the Services from a country or region under comprehensive U.S. sanctions, or if you are on a U.S. government restricted-party list.
- California users. Under California Civil Code § 1789.3, California residents may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by phone at (800) 952-5210.
