Children's Privacy Notice
Effective November 1, 2026 · Last updated October 18, 2026
Rizora.io LLC
This notice is for parents and guardians. It explains how Rizora handles information about young athletes, with special rules for children under 13, and the rights you have. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. Who to contact
Rizora.io LLC 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801 legal@rizora.io
2. The short version
- Children under 13 cannot have a Rizora account or log in. Our sign-up flow blocks it, and nothing typed into the blocked sign-up is kept.
- A coach may keep a minimal roster entry for a player under 13: first name, last initial, jersey number, and position. No login, no photos, no measurables, no contact details for the child.
- A parent or guardian may manage a limited child profile for a player under 13, only after we obtain verifiable parental consent from you. The child has no separate login until they turn 13.
- Teens (13 to 17, or the age of majority in your state) can create their own athlete account, but sensitive features stay locked until a parent or guardian joins and consents.
- We never sell children's information, never use it for targeted advertising, and never make it public.
3. Children under 13
3.1 Coach-kept roster entries
Youth and high school programs sometimes have players under 13. To let a coach run a roster without collecting more than needed, a coach may add a player under 13 using only:
- first name and last initial,
- jersey number, and
- position.
This entry has no login, no photos, no video, no measurables, no date of birth, and no contact information for the child. It is visible only to that team's verified staff and, once linked, the child's parent or guardian. We use it only so the coach can manage the roster and invite the parent.
3.2 Parent-managed child profiles
A parent or guardian can be invited, typically by the child's coach, to manage a limited profile for their child under 13. We will not collect any personal information about the child beyond the roster entry above until we have obtained your verifiable parental consent.
With your consent, the child's profile may include:
| Information | Why we use it |
|---|---|
| Child's first and last name, date of birth, home state, team, position, jersey number | To identify the child to their team and apply age rules |
| Workouts assigned by the team or by you, and completions you or the coach record | To support the child's training |
| Team schedules, practice plans, and plays shared by the coach | So you and your child can follow the team |
| Measurables recorded by a verified coach or trainer, if you allow it | To track development over time |
For children under 13 we do not collect or allow: a login for the child, chat with the AI assistant by the child, direct messages to or from the child, recruiting profiles, sharing with college programs, clip anonymization, body weight entered by a trainer, or photos or video of the child unless you separately allow team media.
3.3 How we use and share a child's information
We use a child's information only to provide the team and development features you've approved, keep the platform secure, and comply with law. Within Rizora, a child's information is visible only to you, to the child's team staff whom you've granted roster visibility, and to trainers you've granted access. Our service providers (listed in our Privacy Policy) process it only on our behalf and under contract.
We will not disclose a child's information to any third party for its own purposes. If Rizora ever offers a feature that would disclose a child's information to a third party for that party's own use, we will ask for your separate consent first, and you can say no without losing access to the rest of Rizora.
3.4 Your rights as a parent
At any time you can:
- review the personal information we have about your child,
- correct it,
- ask us to delete it,
- withdraw consent and refuse further collection or use, and
- change which features and people have access.
You can do most of this from your parent account. You can also email legal@rizora.io from the email on your parent account. We'll verify that you're the child's parent before acting. If you withdraw consent, we'll delete the child's profile information, and the child's coach may keep only the minimal roster entry described in section 3.1, unless you ask us to remove that too.
3.5 When your child turns 13
When your child turns 13, they can create their own athlete login linked to the profile you manage, and the teen rules in section 4 apply.
4. Teens (13 to the age of majority)
A teen can create their own athlete account. Until a parent or guardian joins Rizora and consents, the teen's account is limited: they can't record measurables, upload media, share with programs, publish a recruiting profile, or make purchases.
When you join as the parent or guardian, you choose:
- whether your teen can record measurables and upload film,
- whether your teen's school or youth program can see them on its roster,
- whether your teen can share with college programs, and at what level, and
- whether to block specific programs.
You also approve and pay for every purchase, and you receive renewal reminders.
As a parent you can see your teen's assigned workout programs, the notifications Rizora sends them, and the actions the AI assistant takes or proposes for them. You don't see your teen's assistant chat transcripts, unless a conversation is flagged for violating our Community Guidelines.
"Age of majority" is set by your teen's home state. It is 18 in most states, and higher in a few (for example, 19 in Alabama and Nebraska and 21 in Mississippi). When your athlete reaches it, they take control of their own account and decide whether you keep access.
5. Protections for every minor on Rizora
- No public profiles. Only verified accounts can see a recruiting profile, and only if you've shared with them.
- Verified adults only. Coaches, staff, trainers, and evaluators are identity-verified before they can access any athlete. There is no open sign-up for adults who work with athletes.
- Parents copied. When a college program messages a minor who has shared a full profile, the parent or guardian is copied on every message.
- Every trainer link is visible to you, and you can end it at any time.
- Safer AI. The assistant won't give medical advice, routes injury questions to a parent, coach, or doctor, and won't give minors weight-loss, calorie-restriction, or body-shape guidance.
- Quiet hours. By default we don't send minors notifications during typical school hours or overnight.
- Media protections. Location data is stripped from uploads, files are stored privately, and video can't be downloaded by programs.
- Team-only leaderboards for minors.
6. How long we keep children's information
We keep a child's information only as long as needed to provide the features you've approved. When you delete your child's profile or close your account, we delete the child's information within 30 days, except where we're required to keep a record by law. Our written Data Retention Policy lists every category and its deletion timeline.
7. Questions
If you have questions, or believe we've collected information from a child under 13 without parental consent, email legal@rizora.io and we'll respond promptly and delete information that shouldn't be here.
