Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice
Effective November 1, 2026 · Last updated October 18, 2026
Rizora.io LLC
This notice explains how Rizora handles health-related information. It supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to everyone, with specific rights for residents of Washington, Nevada, and other states with consumer health data laws.
1. Health information we may collect
Depending on the features you use, we may collect:
- Injury reports: body area, type, pain description, and whether an injury has been reviewed.
- Body measurements: height and body weight (trainers can't record body weight for minors).
- Training effort and recovery: effort ratings (RPE) and workout notes.
- Nutrition information (paid plans): dietary preferences, allergies, and meal plans.
- Health-related questions you ask the AI assistant.
- Inferences drawn from this information, such as a pause on a training plan after an injury report.
We don't collect diagnoses, medical records, medications, or precise location, and we don't use geofencing.
2. Why we collect it
Only to provide the features you ask for and to keep athletes safe: tailoring workouts and nutrition, pausing training after an injury report, routing health questions to a parent, coach, or medical professional, and showing development over time. We never use it for advertising, and it never feeds recruiting, matching, or scores.
3. Consent
We ask for your consent before collecting health information beyond what's needed for a feature you request, and we ask separately before sharing it with anyone other than our service providers. For a minor, a parent or guardian gives that consent. You can withdraw consent at any time in settings or by emailing legal@rizora.io.
4. Who can see it and who we share it with
- People you choose: injury reports are visible only to the athlete, their parent or guardian, and a trainer the family designates. They are never shown to high school, youth, or college program staff.
- Service providers that host and process data for us (listed in our Privacy Policy), under contracts that let them use it only to provide services to us. Health-related assistant questions are processed by our AI provider on our behalf.
- When the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
We do not sell consumer health data, and we will never do so.
5. Your rights
You can:
- confirm whether we collect or share your health information and see it,
- get a list of every third party and service provider we've shared it with, along with their contact information,
- withdraw consent to collection or sharing, and
- delete your health information. We'll also tell our service providers to delete it, and copies in backups will be deleted as backups roll off.
Email legal@rizora.io from your account email, or use account settings. We'll respond within 45 days. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision; we'll respond to appeals within 45 days, and if you're a Washington resident and disagree with the result, you may contact the Washington State Attorney General.
